About the Artist

Welcome to my About Me page for Digital Art 2! My name is Destiny Darocha, and I'm a Mexican American artist that enjoys delving into multiple types of mediums including digital art. In the photos to the side of me is a self-image, paintings that I've created while pulling in ideas of bright coloring from Mexican folk artists that have inspired me, a design I created onto a bag product, and two drawings I've made with one being charcoal and the other graphite. I've had some experience with Digital Art including being in a gallery walk of projection displays. Some programs I have worked with include, photoshop, adobe illustrator, blender, fresco, dalle, and many more. Although with that, I'm excited to learn more and dive deep into the world of digital art. To get a little background about me, I'm a sophomore majoring in Art Practices. I enjoy meshing art worlds together in when I combine digital art with a more physical medium or sometime turning physical drawings and meshing them with the digital world. I grew up in a Military family, so I was raised in many different locations, and although born in Texas, Colorado has been a large part in my life. When it comes to what place inspires me the most it would have to be Colorado and I'm proud to be able to call myself a Buff. I hope to one day use my love for art and to be able to put it towards something I enjoy. I'm leaning towards graphic designer at the moment, but I want to gain more experience when it comes to digital art in order to take the next big step.
